FAQ:

Q. What Is Green Design?

A. Green design generally refers to environmentally sound principles of building, material and energy use. A green building uses clean, renewable energy sources (solar or wind, for example), passive systems (daylighting, solar heating), and recycled or renewable materials. It works in harmony with surrounding natural features and resources and whenever possible uses local materials that are sustainably grown or recycled.

Green design is also a way of thinking sustainably about our daily routines, lifestyle choices and consumption patterns. It is mindful of the interconnections and interdependencies of all living systems and the need for balance and harmony within these systems.
